Automotive
As an Automotive Technology Teacher, you know first
hand the demands on your busy day. Shuffling your students
between classroom, shop, computer lab, and intern job
sites, staying current with advances in technology,
and keeping your attendance and performance reporting
accurate and current leaves little time for much else.
Let Skill Manager™ and Attendance
Manager™ be your classroom assistant! Both of
these products have proven essential in automotive programs
across the country. With Skill Manager, you get the
complete and current NATEF Task Lists... Automotive
Technology, Collision Repair, and Diesel/Truck.Whether
your program is NATEF certified or not, these competencies
are a great start to managing and reporting student
assessment.
|
And if you are or will soon be going through
the NATEF Certification process, Skill Manager has proven
itself many times over as satisfying their documentation requirements.
The competencies come with their Priority designations (i.e.
P-1, P-2, etc.) in place and you can sort and report them
based on this parameter. You can even cross-reference your
own competencies, tasks, and jobs to these Industry standards.
With any of the Palm™ handheld devices or portable
bar code readers, your scoring of these competencies is quick
and easy. These portable devices are small enough to fit in
a pocket and travel with you wherever student learning takes
place. Being able to score student competencies “real
time” as it happens means that your end of semester
assessment reports are extremely accurate…no more trying
to remember what your students did at the end of 3-4 months.
And the reporting takes no time at all because it’s
all done, just click and print.
The Attendance Manager system is a great complement to Skill
Manager. If implemented together, they share the same student,
course, and class files so you don’t have to enter your
data twice. Attendance Manager records and tracks your students’
attendance records and keeps a running total of cumulative
class time. And with students clocking-in and clocking-out,
it promotes an essential job skill and keeps them on time
and ready to work. The detailed reporting has proven to be
a very effective tool in defusing any attendance discrepancies
with your students.
